A Hiatus? Now? This is leaving me somewhat speechless since your most recent album is SO GOOD. I was lucky enough to read about you on a Los Lobos message board otherwise I wouldn’t have had a chance to get to know your music at all over here in Germany. I’ve tried to spread the word about BTF, too, on other forums, but all you seem to read everywhere on the boards is viral marketing from the majors. I’m not a promo agency so they just drowned me out of the mix. Yet, I can only hope you sold a few albums more from what I did write.

However, may you enjoy your hiatus. And please come back one day for the sake of the songs. They are so good, they deserve to be heard.

Y’all are breakin’ my heart. Haven’t been able to make it to y’all’s parts but, kept prayin’ maybe I’d see ya at Voodoo, Jazz Fest, Wanee, Hang Out Fest… what ever, just something reasonable for the cats that have MAD love for y’all down in So Flo. I’m expressing my deep disappointment in BYTF news but, seriously hope all is well and hope maybe someday to see you live!!! Gonna make a concerted effort and see what I can swing to make the last show but, things are kinda sketchy for me too.

I love y’all and wish the very best!

You guys are fantastic. I caught you (unexpectedly) at the Surf when I went down to see Los Lobos October 9. After buying a couple of your discs… I like Vagabonds and Hooloigans so much, I admit to barely sampling Good To Be. V&H has a very cool vibe to it, and has only been supplanted by Ryan Bingham’s Junky Star (love it all, ’specially the Wandering), Los Lobos (too numerous to mention), Zevon. I listened to V&H heading to Toronto to hear David Hildalgo and Cesar Rosas perform in “Experience Hendrix” To see you again, and opening for Los Lobos… priceless.
Great venue, great bands – great fffffffking show. Thank you backyard Tire Fire
One question, change in personnel (drummer)?
